Solid wood floor

Massive Board Technology.

The assortment of wooden floors in Ukraine is quite rich. It is easy and easy to buy floor coverings, offered by manufacturers from all over the world - European, American, Asian (Indonesia, China, Burma).

Today on the market the following types of floor coverings are made from wood: a massive board, a parquet board (three-layer and double-layer engineering with a plywood base) and artificial parquet (including artistic). Prestigious floors are considered from a massive board and artistic parquet. It is not surprisingly A massive board is entirely composed of valuable wood, while parquet is only one-third. The massive board is longer and can be re-polished to 5-7 times over the lifetime. For an array of 20 mm thick, the service life reaches 100 years or more. Parquet board is less capricious to the climate in the room, but the term of its service does not exceed 30-35 years.

The most popular thickness of a massive board ranges from 20 to 22 mm. The massive board is made mainly of oak - it is one of the hardest types of wood in Ukraine. It is cheaper than exotic breeds, and in quality it is nothing inferior to them.

The most democratic and popular among domestic consumers is the parquet board. Its popularity is connected with the affordable price, and with not too big costs for laying. Laying a parquet board is five times cheaper than stacking the array, although the materials are close at the price. Experts say that today the parquet board is approaching the array because of its prestige, as the range is quite large and the price range is wide.

Artificial parquet still does not go out of fashion, but from a massive board, it differs, first of all, in dimensions: the characteristic length of the lamella is more than 900 mm. One can say that parquet and parquet board is a two- or three-layered structure, which can be laid in a floating way (not sticking to the base). A massive board and artificial parquet must necessarily be fastened. N

The height of the popularity of artistic parquet fell to the end of 1990, the beginning of 2000 years. Production and stacking of this floor is a rather expensive pleasure and a technologically complex process. In addition, there is artistic parquet with handmade details. Specialists recommend that you carefully select the masters and begin to prepare for a long stacking process, the result of which will be a solid, stable and beautiful floor.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

The advantages and disadvantages of floor coverings of wood should be considered from two sides: firstly, from the point of view of ecology, and secondly, in terms of usability.

Wood is an environmentally friendly material, it breathes and does not pose a danger to allergies. Owning the property to pick up and give moisture, the tree in a sense works on the principle of air conditioning and regulates the humidity in the room. Experts unanimously say that the tree does not like dirt and moisture. If you are laying floors on the veranda of a cottage or in the corridor near the threshold of the apartment, prefer the laminate, it will retain its appearance longer. In the bedroom or the children's room it is always better to cover the floor of the wood. The cons of wooden floors is that they are quite expensive and easily lose their appearance when the operation is broken But in rooms with a low passage their place.

Any wooden flooring has its advantages and disadvantages. But when operating, everything is reduced to several factors. Wood is a hygroscopic material, it is exposed to moisture, respectively, when the dry climate in the room parquet begins to split like a larger lamella, the more obvious this process. The least prone to cracking artificial parquet, lamel, and artistic, and in the production board, this effect is minimized at the expense of a three-layer construction. In order to avoid such changes, it is necessary to maintain a constant climate in the premises: humidity 45-60%, and air temperature - in the region of 20-25 С ".

Variability of Grinding

Many often confuse cycling and grinding processes. Cycling - this is a mechanical treatment of the floor (before coated with varnish or oil) with the use of knives. Grinding - modern floor treatment with special devices. After the floor is polished, the master starts to putty. For her used or artificially prepared material, or specially liquid, mixed with wood dust. Wood defects and cracks are gently sandpaper, and then the floor is again polished with a fine peel and covered with varnish or oil. Grinding is best done by an experienced specialist. Not only in theory knows how to work with floor coverings. According to experts, some very good parketkins, who make difficult floors, strangely enough, do not go for polishing, because it is a slightly different sphere and it is on it that evaluates the result on the output.

If your floor is pre-aged and has an oil coating, you can avoid it, do not be afraid of the word, an unpleasant process of cycling and putty, it is only a couple of years to update the floor with transparent oil, you can entrust this process to specialists, or do everything on their own. It can be done even regionally, so as not to rearrange and not carry expensive and heavy furniture. "

OIL OR LAKE?

There are two main materials for the flooring of the wood - varnish and butter.

Modern varnishes, used in production, and directly on the object, are solid enough, but at the same time elastic. The varnishes of the new generation have good indicators of abrasion - you will have to try hard to spoil the floor.

Lacquer film protects the surface from moisture. In addition, the varnish can withstand an additional mechanical load. If you have one foot to go through thin metal heels on the floor covered with lacquer, and in the other - on the floor covered with oil, you will see that the tree will run more where oil was used, because it does not form a film.

Lacquer is created for lazy, it is easier to care for it. Do moist cleaning and vacuuming the floor-covered floor once a week, and oil requires care twice a week. On the other hand, butter (with wax and no wax) leaves the pores of the tree open, allowing it to breathe.

The oil-coated floor is more environmentally friendly. Reason: oil is 90% natural material, its base - sunflower or sesame oil. I recommend to apply hard wax oil, it is suitable for all types of wood (even hard and exotic), it protects the tree from stains and moisture, leaving its pores open. It is easy to care for such a floor, it is easy to update.

Oil coating is preferable. But it is more expensive and easy to erase. A year or two will have to cover the floor again.

Although new oils with UV hardening are close in their characteristics to the varnish for wear resistance, and at the same time, they can be updated, including zonal Progress does not stand still, in our segment always there is something new. The question "varnish or butter" has long been stuffed with oil and gives naphthalene. The array has a much wider choice.

TURBOT AND ATTENTION

The final question is: how to care for the floor coverings of wood?

Under no circumstances should you wash the floor cover with a wet cloth. The razor should be squeezed practically dry. You can not pour water even on the varnish coating, not to mention the floors covered with oil. There is plenty of wood care products - many of them are sold in regular supermarkets.

Also wooden floors are advised to regularly vacuum cleaners. Experts warn - on the varnish coating in places frequent years after five or seven years in good care will be visible more matte surface, which will have to again cover with varnish.

Wooden floors are durable. The main thing is to restore and update coverage in a timely manner.
